Nothing else I can think of. Fly safe.

Hello!
I am new, just today have purchased the Beta 1 deal. I bought this since I felt it would be nice to help out the development team with a tiny extra amount.
Any suggestions/advice for a newbie? :)

Thank you all for the advices! Coming from EVE I was actually hoping this game would be complex. I've been watching youtube for hours now, just to get the hang of what's going on.
Community wise, are there player organisations yet?

The Han_Solo teamspeak server is currently hosting about three different flight squads who have a mixture of alpha-beta players with experience from last December and onward..

welcome!

prepare to die often and lose everything! ^^

:)

1) Rebind the boost button to something you are 100% sure you won't hit accidentally when docking.

2) Before starting grinding credits, spend some time getting your head round the game mechanisms, docking, cruising etc - best to get the dying out of the way while you have nothing to lose:)

Hi Carpathian, and welcome. :)

Just keep going through the free Sidewinders until you build up some cash. Scooping cargo cannisters is a great way to boost credits early on: just remember that they are classed as 'stolen' so you become a target if scanned. Find them at 'unknown signal' locations and outside stations.

Get rid of them at black markets in dodgy systems.

"I don't want to be poor. You don't want to be dead. Give me your cargo, now." :D

Welcome to ED, hope you have a blast!
