Hello would like to play with real people and learn more about the game been playing about 2 months on odyssey

Hey I'm a new player I've been playing for about 2 months I play on Odyssey I would just like to find out where I can get together with some people and actually play with real people and learn more about the game hit me up I don't know exactly how to work this but yeah

I guess it depends where you are, what timezone etc...
I'm in New Zealand, feel free to add SharkBiscuit.

There are squadrons you could request to join in game too, eg. The Fatherhood comes to mind, but it depends what you're into - likely still figuring that out! New Pilots Initiative is another.

You might get more answers in the Features of Elite /Newcomers forum btw.

1) Go to https://forums.frontier.co.uk/forums/elite-dangerous-newcomers-guides-tutorials/
2) Right at the top there's an orange banner (a lot of people seem to miss it...) with an invitation to the Galactic Academy Discord. That should get you started.

Otherwise, it's mostly a matter of what you want to do, timezones and instancing - in arbitrary gameplay, you'll be hard pressed to encounter another human player. 20,000 inhabited systems in the Bubble leave enough room to spread out.

Thanks guys im in the u.s. florida to be specific s I don't know what I want to do exactly yet I mean I just have fun flying around shooting things down and you know just learning I mean I've got a lot to learn before I ultimately decide what all I want to be focusing on I just want to focus mostly on progression getting a better ship right now and just finding friends to play with and finding people do you know play with and get along with I have Odyssey cuz I thought it would be real interesting to be able to get out and walk around the planets and stuff which is really cool so I don't know

I was really wondering if there was like a player live chat that I could join or something not in the game but like you know online while I'm playing the game like on another website or something like a chat that I could join to ask questions just people playing the game getting together talking you know

A few hundred, if not thousand, on Discord. Keep the scale of the game in mind - the Bubble, the inhabited area centered around Sol, has around 20,000 inhabited systems.
