Newcomer / Intro Help about Epic launcher and problems logging and updating.

Hello, Im a very new player which recently fell in love with ED for it being free on Epic Games store. My main concern and the reason which im asking help is to know if my problem is happening with more people and if I shouldnt be as concerned as I am.

My problem is that every time I try launching the game Via epic, the launcher says theres a necessary update, and that to install it via epic just: Click options > Click verify > wait for it to install. Now my problem is that this does not work as theres no update on epic games store to be installed.

Repeating my Steps

1- Launch ED from epic
2- The ED launcher boots up
3- an error message appears saying theres a need for an update
4- on the error message it says that to update I need Click options > Click verify > wait for it to install
5- Doing the fourth step results in no updates being found
6-cry for I cant play the game I fell in love recently
7- ask for help on the forums


Any feedback, no matter how short its helps. And yes I re-installed the game on epic, and re-installed epic itself, I didnt ran on administrator mode nor I have any other program on the background blocking the updates.

" I am getting an 'UPDATE REQUIRED'; 'Purchase/Redeem' or '405' error message when attempting to launch Elite or create an account through the Epic Games store.

Many of our players have bypassed this issue by fully shutting down and restarting their Epic Games launcher, before trying to play Elite again. We are aware of the problem and are working to resolve it as soon as possible. Your patience in this is much appreciated."


They seem to think this issue of linking Epic and Frontier has been resolved (hence the cached version), if you are still getting it maybe some help here:
