Help am I going blind?

I've just bought a 4k monitor which has necessitated an upgrade to Windows 10 and a new GPU. I've upgraded windows, slotted in the new GPU and switched on the monitor. Drivers updated, everything seems to be working fine....BUT I opened the launcher and I just cannot for the life of me see the login or play button. What'ss going on? Please help I'm desperate to see ED in 4k

Your eyes are ok. The new launcher looks significantly different from the old one. You no longer need to log in since it retains the last login information. The play button should still be there at the bottom left though. It also looks different.

If you have multiple CMDRs, you'll need to log out through Options near the top right to swap between them.

Then again, I'm doing this from memory as I always close the launcher after starting the game.

Yes the new launcher is also not helping but honestly there is no play button in the bottom left or anywhere.

It's there but depending on your setup it might well be off the bottom of the screen as it was for me.
Control panel, make items smaller and you should be able to see it.

Hi, I just looked.

You should see "play" in white letters on an orange box on the bottom left corner, next to it on the right the game and training options, on a black background (could it be due to a colour setting?).

If not I think you might have to log a ticket, unless anyone else has seen the same and can better advise.

Good luck with it, not something anyone wants on a Friday night.

You should also look in the bug thread and post there if you can't find the answer.

Right panic over. Thanks for the help guys. I wasn't going blind or mad, well perhaps a little mad. Basically I had to change the settings on the display port and various other obscure things. The perfect storm of new hardware and a new OS. I'm now in, it's pretty but the frame rates are taking a beating.

Actually now I've messed with the graphic settings I'm hitting 60fps and oh my god! She's pretty
