Help, cant enter supercruise or jump

I don't know what has happened, I dropped out of supercruise and when I tried to jump again it says "Align with SHIP Trajectory!", I have tried using the comms to select a nearby station, says the same thing even when pointing at the station and if I try and jump to another system it instead says:

"Align with SHIP Trajectory!",
-
Unless I move my cursor away from the target it switchs to "Align with TARGET Trajectory!",

I have tried logging off and back on, but its still doing it after 10 minutes, any ideas?

You have to point your ship in the same direction your ship is travelling in, i.e. the ships trajectory. I suspect your moving somewhat sideways and or backwards when trying to jump? Basically you need to fly straight forwards in the direction of your target to jump.

If you want to enter supercruise you can also just boost and it starts the countdown.

Ok nevermind, for some reason I was so close to a planet it wasn't showing up visually so it was blocking my view, don't even know how, it only appeared after I managed to find a route out
