Help! Can't uninstall EDFX

I have to remove EDFX because of frame-rate issues.

But there is no uninstall file, or instructions. The Readme.txt makes no mention of how to do it and searches have proved fruitless.

I have tried setting it to "close on game start up", and before that to uninstall FX files. Neither work. The shaders are still enabled every time I load Elite: Dangerous.

It didn't appear in add/remove programs either. I'm running Windows 8.

Does anyone know how to remove it, or am I stuck with it forever?

Reformat and Reinstall everything, except EDFX, whatever that is.

Does it show up in windows program uninstall tool?

If it's not showing up as an uninstallable program in the ctrl panel, just delete it's folder and any other files associated with it.

If I remember right it replaces a couple of dll files in the main elite directory, so to be sure, id uninstall elite and do a clean install.

first open edfx so you can see the control panel window

click the blue (i think) uninstall shader files button or similar

then you can just delete edfx

No, it doesn't.

I deleted its folder and files. It still operates whenever I load Elite, as if it was all still there!

I did that. It still acts as if it is there.
