help: captured in setup screen oc1.3/ had to enter A button (xbox controller)??

|SOLVED,at least brute force| help: captured in setup screen oc1.3/ had to enter A button (xbox controller)??

cant get out of it without xbox controller.

is there a shortcut for the A button instead??

the problem occurs to me, when going in the detail setting of the sensor
(when you hit continue after enter your body height, still dk2 of course;))

thanks

edit,2903: brute force solution, for now: deinstalled, and! deleted all oculusfolders in .../user/name/AppData/blabla

(maybe somebody knows the switch to turn in specific)

Hi,

I'm stuck in the same situation... so frustrating and I don't own an XBox or controller.

I've tried installing and uninstalling the Oculus software, but that doesn't seem to reset the configuration - it just goes back to the same place.

Such an annoying problem - surely they don't expect everyone to own a controller, especially on a DK2.

If anyone finds a solution, please update :)

mmm, you should run the set up of 1.3 from a window and not the oculus headset.

Kill the set up and do it again. This time do not switch on the headset until it is installed. Skip all the hardware stuff including the controller till the end.

I have the exact same problem too. SPent all night yesterday trying to get around this. No button on my keyboard/mouse/joystick or staring at the continue button worked!

Re-installed oculus drivers numerous times but always goes to this same exact window telling me to continue in my DK2 and press conroller(I have no controller aside from mouse/keyboard/hotas).

I issued ticket to oculus so will see their response to this

thank you,
but no skipping possible,
only use of xbox A button in headsetview possible.

Kill the setup and start again and this time skip the hardware sections. Or if it is the Oculus warning screen, stare at the message at the bottom for 2 seconds to accept the warning.

I even re-installed the oculus completely from scratch and it still always goes into the "continue with DK2 on" window in both the main monitor and DK2. Will try again tonight uninstalling oculus completley, and this time deleting the user oculus folder too, and I will skip the the hardware sections.

EDIT: Like the op it is now solved by "brute force". i.e. uninstalled nvidia drivers, oculus runtime, disconnected dk2/sensor, deleted user/app/oculus folder and started from scratch! but this time skipping the "rift" hardware setup

let me use the spacebar as Button A - but not for everything.

that would be good thing!
if you could constitiute, repeat and maybe specify it.

(to be honest, i cant understand oculus, for not forseeing this in their long time
they had to develope this whole thing; they had to see, the most users, at least at 2803
and little after, are using still dk2, respectively had no xboxContr. it cant
be so difficult and timeconsuming for providing simple replacements for A-Buttons
on the keyboard.)
