Help for a newbie / mouse controls in station

Hi there,

I just bought the game on Steam, created a Frontier account, linked to that, yadda yadda yadda. After that, I launched the game, created a commander, but now I'm faced with two issues:
1.) When I start up the game, the Sound will Play for About Five seconds, the it's gone. As in completely. I don't suppose that's working as intended.
2.) (And this is the real game breaker for me) So I'm sitting there, in the Station, and I have no mouse Cursor. I can navigate to the menus using the number Hotkeys, I can go up and down using the arrow keys, but the mouse Cursor is nowhere to be found. I fiddled with the mouse Options in the graphics menu, to no avail. So I literally can't do anything much on the Station....this isn't Right, is it? I'd really appreciate help on this...I'm a gaming vet, I must've played hundreds of games over the years, but I've never had an issue like this when I couldn't even figure out the most Basic controls. Hellllp plllllease! :)

Have you tried Options / Graphics / Display selecting Fullscreen/Borderless/Windowed to see if it works at all?

The only time I have had issues like you describe is when the game is actually not properly "focussed" in windows - like occasionally on alt+tabbing etc so maybe something is "stealing" focus?

BTW you can get to and select anything without using the mouse but it is awkward, particularly the maps - hear the VR peeps complain about that all the time. ;)

No mouse in the main station view - have you selected 'station facilities' or whatever it's called (top of the 3 middle options). Or open the Galmap - that has a cursor.

I've tried all of the three mouse Options available to me....None of them worked. I can unlock Looking around by Pressing the middle mouse button….still no Cursor. If I go to the main menu by Pressing [esc], the cursor's there. Once I go back into the game, it's gone again.

^^^^^^^^ THIS ^^^^^^^

I never considered that the OP might not have opened Station Services.

Many people of course are thrown by there not being an "interactive cockpit" - we are so used to point and click, particularly in flight sims etc.

(Still, good to hear that at least one new Steam customer got the game running. ;) )
