Help for commanders who can't get their map settings to stick (post 1.3 release)

Greetings Commanders,

I've read quite a few different threads where commanders are having to re-set their map settings every time they start E : D. No more!

Pilfered from this post here (and it worked for me): https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=84176

Go to this file location:
C:\Users\{username}l\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Player
And simply rename your Custom.Misc file. Once you restart you should find that the map remembers your settings again...

Did you find time to try this yet? Makes all the difference, especially when out exploring and you spend half your time looking at the map...
