Help! Fuel scoop stopped working!

I went exploring with my fuel scoop. All of a sudden, it doesn't activate when getting near a star as usual. The health of it is at 99%. Do fuel scoops have a limited use? Is it broken? Am I doing something wrong?

I'm in the middle of nowhere with no base around so I can't refuel. I bought the fuel scoop so I didn't need to refuel. I don't want to destroy my ship and lose my progress. Does anybody have any insight?

That has happened to me and others before, it's a bug and should be ticketed.

No, fuel scoops do not have a limited use or anything like that. It would work for me again if I would jump to another star system and whatnot. Have you tried restarting the game to see if it fixes it?

There are types of stars which cannot be fuel scooped.

No, the scoop is fine. It's just that not all stars will give fuel, they have to be certain types.

Also check your system status page and make sure you didn't uncheck the box on the left side that deactivates the unit. It could just be that it's disabled and needs to be turned back 'on'.

Some stars cannot be scooped cause their chemical environment is not proper for it. Just make sure it is a valid star.

"GM-AFK BO", those are the types of starts where you can refuel (Someone correct me if I'm wrong - not conpletely sure on the BO part)

You definitely can't at white and brown dwarfs at least. Not sure about T Tauri's.

Ok. After restarting everything, including my computer, logging back in, checking settings, etc, I approached the star again... it's working. Now I have no idea what part of that fixed the issue. I'll just count this as a learning experience lol Thank you everyone for the help.

Now about the star types for refueling, where can this information be found?
