Help! Gharials are eating my zoo alive. What do I do?

So I made a Gharial habitat and before I knew it the 2 Gharials I had spawned 20(!) offspring.

The offspring and the 2 adults are completely making me go broke ($27,000 of food a year....that's more than my staff wages!) and I cannot do ANYTHING about it. I can't trade the offspring out and I can't sell them because they are too young.

Even worse is that they take 14 YEARS to mature before I can do anything about it. I've given the 2 adults contraceptives for now but that doesn't take care of my current situation.

What do I do????? I can't afford the food for all 22 and I can't get rid of them via trading. I'm literally stuck.

I had 25 tortoises' offsprings. They take 22,7 years to mature. And they are much slower to get to the food. So you are still standing good.

I'm not standing good.....I am in debt $24,000 a year and I'm at $4,000. I can't go another year. I have 10 years to go before they mature.

There should be a way to release offspring outside of the zoo. This is crazy. If it wasn't for the insane time speed and animal breeding speed I wouldn't have this problem. Unfortunately, it blew up so fast before I could notice the problem.

Try to put your babies gharials to the trade center. Leave 4-5 - how many you can afford. Those in the trade center do not eat and do not grow up. Release them in portions, when the siblings grow up and after you sell them.

i had the same. put a few gharials down and a few ingame months later (so about 5 minutes later) the habitat had 30 gharials... instant contraceptives and trade center helped so they didnt all starve cos the game cant handle many animals in 1 habitat

LOL... Glad to know I'm not alone on that one. I've got an "extras" zoo that's just a ton of quarantines to store all my excess offspring until I need them. They don't age since I never play in it, but it keeps the trade center free from the baby explosions.

How about building some exhibits with fast breeding animals whose offspring you can quicktrade for cash? In contrast, I have "too much cash" (700 000+, Year 20) and have tried to hamper myself by constantly training personnel and when my animals are not fighting due to overcrowding, for alpha status etc. they munch on the best food.

That's what I would suggest too. 👍
