Horizons Help! How do I hand in passenger missions?

So I have a beluga and I just did a mission to transport a VIP to a planet base. I'm at the base now with an hour left on the timer, but I see no option anywhere to complete the mission.

I've checked the passenger lounge, mission board, contacts, everywhere, but I cant see an option to hand in the mission.

Am I experiencing a bug or am I missing something?

Hmmmm... Well lets see.

Are you in the Passenger Lounge? Not trying to hand it in from the Mission Board? They are separate entities and passenger missions can not be turned in from the Mission board and vice versa.

Did the passenger ask for some cargo during the trip? If they did and you clicked the "Check Mark" on the request thereby accepting the request, you will then be required to provide whatever that small quantity of cargo is by sourcing it from somewhere and having it in your cargo hold at the completion of the mission. Without that cargo onboard, the mission will technically not be completed and won't show up on the lounge list.

FYI: I always ignore those requests because they offer nothing of added value to the mission, just more hassle. Just ignore those by NOT clicking on the message, and then delete all of those once the mission is done and you have been paid.

Are you sure you are at the correct final destination? Make sure the destination didn't change from the original. This can happen and it is not a bug if/when it does, although it can be annoying if you miss the in-box message or the change to the actual mission text in your TRANSACTION panel.

Make sure you haven't missed the mission giver on the list on the left side of the passenger lounge page. The one that will accept the completed mission will have an orange circle with an (!) in the middle of it.

Thats all I can think of off the top of my head. I haven't heard of any issues with turning in missions in 2.2. I certainly have not had any problems during all the Beta versions or the release.

It's been solved now.

The problem for me was that the tab to complete mission wasn't appearing at all in the passenger lounge, so I didn't have any direct indication as to what was wrong.

It turned out the mission gave 4 tons of nanobreakers as a reward, but I didn't have any cargo racks equipped. Once I equipped one the mission completion option appeared for me and I managed to hand it in just in time.

Thanks for all the suggestions though :)

Cool Glad you got it figured out! [up]

Damn! I totally forgot to mention the lack of cargo space issue. This is something I petitioned them to improve during the Beta since this has been a problem for a lot of players since 2.1. The game doesn't make a big enough stink about this when you don't have space to accept the cargo or materials/data rewards and it really should.

This exact same thing happened to me back in 2.1 and it took me a while to finally figure out what was going on.

Anyway... Glad you solved it! And perhaps my other suggestions will help down the road since those other issues do pop up once in awhile and can have the same effect when it comes time to hand a mission in. :)

Another similar case : check the mission and look for any red line , if that red line exist maybe the mission can't be delivred because you are full of that specific item , to get the reward you need to verify your inventory, that can be data or material , then eject some and you can see the mission again.

I didn't actually figure it out, someone else on the forums suggested it to me in another thread ;)

But yeah it should give some sort of message to say that you need cargo racks to complete the mission, rather than not appearing until you have space.

Can see this being a problem for others with passenger missions since they might be going around with just cabins instead of cargo racks.

And yeah thanks again for those suggestions, should come in handy if I run into any other problems :)

I did a passenger mission, part of the reward was cargo . Problem was I took both cargo bays out , so the option to complete the mission wasn't there until I reinstalled a cargo bay.

Sorry looks like somebody told you the same thing hours ago

I thought I was just taking passengers to a destination. I did not realise that I was wrangling with cargo and other stuff. I got tired of this and exchanged all passenger cabins for cargo holds. Frontier has some wacky ideas to make this game confusing, frivolous and uncertain at the best of times.
Wait until 45 units of platinum are not accepted at the destination too, like happened to me..   ? Couldn't work it out, had to sell on black market and got fined 658,000 cr. This happened twice because of some new criteria I missed...still don't know what it is? Let me tell you I'm getting a little tired of ED right now!
