Newcomer / Intro Help I need a titan bombing flight school !

I have been playing for a while, 1500hrs+. I am just not getting the trick to bombing the vents. I have a nicely kitted out Challenger and a Kratt mk2. The Kratt is new to me, so my flight skill is a bit of a disaster. With the Challenger I was getting 4 vent most times. I thought the extra speed of the kratt would help get more vents bombed. My biggest problem is targeting. With both ships I seem to have to be pointed directly at the vent and really close. I haven't tried flight assist off on a bombing run yet. I have watched a lot of Twitch and you tube. Other commanders don't seem to have to be as close or pointed directly at the vent. Whats up with that? Its a practice makes perfect situation no doubt. My decal has 3 stars on it if that matters to anybody. Any tips?

Do you have long-range engineering on your sensor?

Beyond that, the most effective order of business for me is target, boost immediately, then fire on the torp "ready" peep, usually putting the nose up away from the target by the time I fire so as not to boost actually into the Titan. I usually manage 6 vents (ish) like this, but that's on a cutter with minimal piloting skill, so YMMV.

I do have the long-range mode on my sensors. Try try and try again, I guess. I will get it figured out eventually. Thanks for the input.

Ok, the only other thing I can think of for why you seem to need to be closer than video guides is if the video cmdrs are using a wider FOV setting, which can make things look further away. Definitely keep trying!

Best to not wait for them to go blue and close, I boost around after 4 (sometimes 5) vents and charge round to the underside, with practice and watching for 'landmarks' on the underside, you will eventually end up getting around to the core as it emerges and just (target the core and) throw everything at it.

To escape after it closes don't boost away, just go full throttle perpendicular to the Titan (90 degrees), you can then use camera to 'look back' and you will see the blue torus field.

Stop and repair if necessary, then return (again without boost, to keep cool below 20%) to the other side to await the vents again.
