I'm wanted for murder. not sure why, don't remember shooting at anyone not wanted but oh well. This has brought my game to a halt. I can't go anywhere without getting scanned and then killed. Three times now to the tune of 153,000 cr. This happened in the Kremainn system and I am wanted by the Kremainn Free party. There is a 7000 cr bounty on my head and I'm stuck in the Volta station. I go near the bigger Wohler station they scan me and kill me. Went to a RES same thing, had to run for my life. I'm guessing I have to pay a fine or something but can't find anywhere to do it. In starport services under contacts it say I have no outstanding fines. Is there a special station I have to go to and pay a fine. I love the game but I can't continue until I get this bounty off me. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Murder bounty has a 7 day timer before you can pay it.

If you try to tumble goverments with Board missions, you will get hated in those systems. Just do your missions, leave, and when ever you comeback, IF you come back, just pay the fine.. Or, dont, and just never go there anymore.
There are enough, systems where you can pick up your life like nothing happend
okay I've got to ask or I'll just keep thinking about it. Did anyone else think "help I'm wanted, and I can't get out" like that stupid OneTouch commercial that'ss been burned in my brain by how rediculouslly ovver-aired it was?

This is a good idea win win for both parties... honestly thotugh im wanted in like 3 systems but i just haven't even been back to those systems though.
This sort of works, yes you would be no longer wanted in the system but it changes the bounty into a dormant bounty, which eventually changes into a fine.
If you want the bounty gone completely you have to be scanned by a ship with a kill warrent scanner then killed.
Best thing to do is allow a player to scan and then kill you
Just jump in a sidewinder and get killed in that system. Now if you let a player kill you with the bounty I'm sure they wouldn't mind giving you a couple of tonnes of gold lol
If you've already been killed three times then as I understand it your bounty should have disappeared - not tried getting myself killed since the changes in the way it works to know for certain, maybe tonight. However as it's happened three times I would surmise that you have a severe reputation problem with the main faction as well.
If that's the case you can, as advised just leave and go somewhere else, or you can take missions for that faction to help improve your reputation with them, this can be a bit of a slog but can help provide your game with significant focus. Maybe try this in other nearby systems where the main faction has a presence but doesn't control the security ships or station? That way RES' will be less lethal and interdictions will be less frequent but you can still improve your standing with them.
At least with the recent changes to the way reputation works you know over time that it will improve.
DO NOT go into a conflict zone, even if you side with them they will open fire on you along with the other faction they're fighting. Been there, done that, died horribly but quickly.

All you need to do is leave the station and jump to another system.
I don't think I've ever had an instance where I was unable to get out of the gate because I was wanted, but if you really are having that much trouble just turn on silent running and they won't even notice you.
Also...you can't get killed 3 times because of your bounty. If you get scanned and killed for your bounty, it goes away instantly.
