Help me make some money please!

Could someone please give me some money making tips, I currently have a viper with fuel scoop and single gimballed beam laser. I am trying to make some money to buy a cobra to do some `proper` exploration (the shortish range of the viper is killing me!) I hardly have any cash and need a way of making some :D

I've made some money selling system exploration data and doing a few bulletin board missions but those of you flying round in type 9s and imperial clippers, how did you make such huge sums of money please?

I recently sold my Viper, got a Hauler, hauled some Superconductors and earned like 350k in less than 3 hours. Take a look here for planning a route or price checks:

You should probably have spent money on upgrading your cargo capacity so you could take on more lucrative missions - though bigger missions can wreck your range and leave you worse off than you started if you're not careful. Also read the missions to supply stuff each time as I have stumbled across at least 20,000 credits worth of missions to supply hydrogen fuel that I bought, err, from the commodities market at the station where I accepted the mission (until it gets fixed anyway). I haven't made silly money, but enough for a Cobra and some modest upgrades - once you get some cash you can make more by trading than from missions so you need to weigh up what will give you the best profit for a journey. It also took me a while to realise that there was no great problem in doing three jumps consecutively to make a delivery that I would have otherwise rejected as too far. Oh, and stay out of trouble.

Ts= TeamSpeak a voice over IP communication program, you'll need a microphone and to download the program. At first it can be daunting but really its easy enough to set up.

Viper is pretty much only good for combat imho ... go for hauler or cobra for trading etc.

If you do get some decent weapons/modules into your viper, bounty hunting and merc work pay reasonably well(easily ~50-150k / hour if you're in the right places).

You should do the missions but try to get in to hauler first...In addition get away from Eranin, Ibootis and Aulin

If you want to keep ur viper I find that it's best to take multiple assaination missions in a warzone (eranin or I bootis etc) each kill counts on all missions plus you get the standard 1000crds for warzone kills
