Newcomer / Intro Help me understand "kil pirate" and "kill trader" missions

so is there any solution to the problem of locating pirates in deep space systems with no nav beacons and no RE sites? like most, i've been flying around seeking USS, find the middleman but no pirates - everyone is clean as they should be in this system.

Don't fly about. 0% throttle is best and fastest.
I have started doing missions again recently, and it seems that empty systems spawn wss much quicker than they used to.
