I don't think you understand the fundamental principle of this issue. This problem would not have arisen if not for the bug. Even if I had enough for insurance, can you guarantee me that it won't happen again? If not me, then how about other players? How about you? Maybe to you, this isn't such a problem. But for players who own big ships, losing a couple of mill could out right ruin your grinding efforts for the past 2 hours.

I got a python, and especially cause of that is that you need the insurance to keep the ship.

Asteroids can be quite dangerous, even in solo. E.g. sometimes combat is so heated, that you do not see the rock you are turning into.

And there is the danger of other distractions. As Lynyrd Skynyrd put it:

Ships I own include a conda, python, and a FDL. Im not hurting for cash obviously. I also have never flown withuot insurance, but have crashed my FDL up 3 times. Im not trying to be rude but there are to many players who come here to complain about a mistake they made. Bug or no bug you flew without proper insurance. Now if it is a bug you should be reimbursed, but dont throw salt at the game because youplayed a huge part in your situation.

Always have enough to cover insurance! This was a bug and you got your ship back, that's fine but say it was a ship that rammed you as you left the station or you accidentally hit the boost button? You can't come back from that and you would lose everything. Always have enough to cover insurance costs.

Obviously you can play how you want to and ignore our advice, just don't complain the game is too harsh if you lose everything because you didn't want to leave some insurance money.

Ouch! That's a tough break fella.

This will be small consolation but you had the skills and persistence to get the Cr70M for the FDL, so you can do it again. Quicker next time too!
