HELP ! My zoo is not loading anymore

Hey y'all ! I'm totally desperate right now as my main sandbox zoo won't load anymore.

Planet Zoo works. I can enter other save files. It's just that particular zoo that doesn't want to load anymore. The green loading screen is just going on forever... Last time I played was 2 days ago and everything was fine. I tried restarting my computer several times and I checked integrity of save files on Steam but it still doesn't work.

Does anyone knows how to solve this? Can someone remind me how you can send your save file to Frontier so they can look into it?

Various players have reported a bug with the loading screen as it takes forever to load files, specially big zoos; but they eventually load after some minutes (even more than ten).
So before we jump into other conclusions, mandatory question here: have you ever used mods in that zoo?

No, I've never used any mods. And I'm aware big zoos can take time to load but it still isn't loading after 30 minutes while it was always loading in 4-5 minutes.

Aight then you might be better off sending the save file then. Email them to this address: community@frontier.co.uk

Path should be something like: C:\Users\%username%\Saved Games\Frontier Developments\Planet Zoo\some random long number\Saves

Preferably just type the name of your zoo in your search toolbar, the file should have a .zoo format.
 
Oh thank you ! I didn't know how to find my save file on my computer and I found it now. I'll send it to Frontier and cross my fingers.

That's the community managers, Tech Support is where they will be able to help you. You can give them the file and go from there.
Thank you for your help ! I sent my save file to them as well and I'm already in touch with them. Just crossing my fingers now that they will be able to find what's wrong.
 
Thank you again @random goat and @HeatherG for your help 👍 My save file is now in the hands of the tech support team. They answered pretty quickly which is great. They said something is indeed broken with my save file and they will investigate further to hopefully find out what happened. They told me to get back in touch in a week. I really hope they will find a solution and save my zoo 🙏

I would like to give a tip to all the wonderful members of the community: don't forget to save your zoos in different files regularly because something can always go wrong. Yes, even if you don't use mods. And believe me, it's a real nightmare when you're not able to enter the zoo you spent so many hours working on 😪 I almost cried really. I was very stupid not to make enough backup save files. The last save I can access is from July 26 so if Frontier can't fix this, I will loose a month and a half of work, which is half of my zoo... Don't be stupid like me and make backups very regularly !

But hey, look at the bright side: if you start to rebuild your zoo from the July save file, it can sorta be like an alternate timeline, and then, if Frontier does fix your file, you'll have 2 zoos, each with the same theme but different timelines, you know? Like another dimension

Honestly, I'm a little disgusted right now so I will probably need a little time before getting back playing... But eventually, if Frontier can't fix it, I will probably open the July 26 file and restart from there because I love that zoo very much and don't want to give up on it.
 
Hi guys ! I have awesome news to share ! The wonderful Frontier support team just wrote me to say they have identified the issue preventing my save file from loading. I'm so happy 😃 They said the issue will be solved with the next big update 1.11, so I just have to wait a little bit before playing again, but that's totally fine. They told me they can't tell me when the update is going to drop. Like many people, I was expecting news this week and it's a bummer we did not get them BUT don't worry, there will be an update 1.11 soon. Can't wait !
