Newcomer / Intro Help needed for Outfitting my vulture

I got a Vulture and I love it.

Installed 2 class 3 fixed Beam Laser, A Power Plant and A Power distributor.

Total Power: 16.22 deployed and my max is 15.60.
So I put FSD and Cargo Hangar in group 4 priority and I can use my laser (that I love BTW I got an Anaconda Competent alone quite easily).

The only problem is that my shields take a very very long time to recharge. I didnt install a shield booster (only shield cells).

Is it because I exceed the power limit or is it something else?

Thanks in advance for your tips and answers.

L: 3E/G Pulse Laser
L: 3E/G Pulse Laser
U: 0I Chaff Launcher
U: 0F Electronic Countermeasure

U: 0I Heat Sink Launcher

BH: 1I Lightweight Alloy
RB: 4A Power Plant
TM: 5A Thrusters
FH: 4A Frame Shift Drive
EC: 3C Life Support
PC: 5A Power Distributor
SS: 4C Sensors
FS: 3C Fuel Tank (Capacity: 8)

5: 5A Shield Generator
4: 4A Fuel Scoop
2: 2A Shield Cell Bank
1: 1C Detailed Surface Scanner
1: 1C Advanced Discovery Scanner

If you take this loadout, you only need to put your Discovery and Surface Scanner, your Fuel scoop and FSD to Priority 2 and turn off your cargo hatch.

You'll then have the power of 4 A-grade shield cells at your disposal, and still enough firepower to kick some serious butt. :)

If I'm correct you need the shield booster to allow the 4 pips to work there magic ( "when will I see you again" oh my bad that's the 3 degrees lol).
Anyway, Like you I've just go mine, couldn't believe the salesman when he told me the special offer !!!!!. Thought I'd put it into storage for the min, as if the price changes I maybe able to make a profit. If not it's going towards my T7 fund lol...... thanks for reading..

Vulture shields are really good, meaning they contain a lot of energy. That means that your power distributor has a hard time filling up all that energy when it got drained. You can see a similar effect in shield cells. It takes big shield cells to have a visible effect on those big shields.

So everything is working as intended. Vulture shields take a long time to recharge and that wont change. Welcome in the big boys club.
