Thank you you for the advice, I see a lot of your answer I will take into consideration next time, like doing my recon before deploying to the kill zone, anyways here is my point of view to your recommendations. This looked like some "Jolli" good fun - too bad I just missed it.
A few notes on the videos posted here - let's call it a hotwash or AAR (After Action Review) if you will:
1) You were targeting the least threatening ship - you should have been going after the much-more-dangerous Clipper instead of the Orca while keeping an eye on the Orca in case he starts trying to ram you into oblivion. As learned in basic training, you target and destroy the most dangerous threat first.
2) Shields on a Scout in PvP are useless. Go with a Stealth build - you'll last longer against players running gimbaled anything since they won't be able to target you at all. You want something small and fast with beefy shields, go with a Courier instead.
3) You're running all gimbaled weapons. Against other CMDR's. Wait - against CODE CMDR's. That's just all kinds of wrong and foolish. Gimbaled multis, fine, but I'd throw on a pair of railguns for when they chaff you with that magic pixie dust. Once the ship you had targeted had started chaffing you, you should have immediately de-targeted him and gone old-school Kentucky windage on him.
Basically, you should have done a wee bit more intelligence gathering on the enemy you decided to make for yourself.
Lots of CODE videos out there on them there YouTubes that would not only give you the CODE CMDR names but also show you what their outfitting usually is as well as how they fight.
As an old Army tanker myself, I expect better from my Marine colleagues.![]()
Good to see you're enjoying the game in OPEN though.
No wonder you were so off at me, I was looking through my videos and saw your name on this one, so I had that coming. Sorry mate I was just having fun, you also had a chance to flee but you didn't.Was trying to come up with some witty set of comments about our encounter but couldn't, simply put it was funny as to see you're face when you realized that you had been duped was enough for me. great Vid!
Anyways you folks are always welcome in CODE Space. Bring more friends next time!

That is the main reason I do it, making a lot noise right outside the station to provoke an attack. All good, the Station actually killed me here not you guys, but it was a good try...Always annoying when you get fired on in front of a hostile station... Bit of a crap shoot if you are going to get out.

I was happy to see in the Orca video that I was yourdestroyer. Thought your handle looked familiar...
