Help Pilots federation to expand to LFT 926. Civil War has started.

I've pretty much spent all night last night trying to make a difference. Wasted about 3 hours trying to figure out how to increase influence for PF in LFT 926 and decrease for the Green Light party as those two seem to be in civil war currently. OR, they both are against LFT 926 Interstellar. That's the thing that there is no good way to understand WHO is against WHO.

I killed a few Green Light LFT 926 type-6, type-7 and type-9 until there were none left hoping this may break the supply chain for Green Light Party. But that puts bounty on my head. And missions from Shinra to kill pirates, trades etc in LFT 926 impossible to complete. I tried to camp the nav beacon and checked all the ships I saw in LFT 926. Killed all the trader type ships could find and killed a few 'wanted' ships but missions didn't update. I ticketed this a few days ago, still don't understand these (kill pirates, kill traders, kill bounty hunters) missions.

The only way this mission works is if you want to screw up your reputation because when you go into USS the ship there tells you to abandon the mission, when you do that the reputation drops. I tried to scan that ship with kill warrant scanner and it still showed clean to me. I killed it and got a bounty on my head and mission didn't update nyway. I don't get it.

In the end, I decided to not waste more time jumped into my trader again and will be trying to affect the influence of PF in LFT 926 by doing as many missions from Shinra to Meredith. I grab them as soon as they appear. Some of those missions when turned in reduce Green Light LFT 926 influence and increase everything with PF. But some actually give me red arrows for PF even though they are just request to bring food. For some reason when I bring food to PF some missions raise unrest and lower influence.

i think this civil war algorithm messes up some missions across the board. I'll continue running trade missions and deliver commodities to PF in Meredith City. Hopefully this will help them to raise their influence and overtake the system.

If anyone has any good advice on how to better help pilots federation in LFT 926 please post. I currently don't understand who PF is fighting because there are no warzones or conflict areas in LFT 926. Both PF and Green Light factions are in Civil War status, based on that I consider that they fight against each other maybe? Since some of the PF missions turned in at Meredith City increase PF and lower GL rep and influence. There are no GalNet messages about this civil war either... Wish they implemented some kind of a predefined text that would appear in Glanet when war starts...

I wish the logic behind the conflicts in the ED was more pronounced and there was a clearer guidance on what the heck is happening and how to better affect it and when you DO affect it some kind of indication that your efforts actually make any difference. For now this indication is only included when you turn in missions. If you do pure mechanics like trade, or kill ships of opposite faction you get zero indication if this affects anything...

Im doing something similar in Mikunn. Im getting very suspicious that nothing moves unless the devs actually push it. Everything has seemed to freeze up while the Devs are on holiday =\. A little bit of documentation would go a long way.... Seriously even 10 minutes of someones time who actually knew would do.

I really dont know. Good luck.

I don't really think one person in a single ship would be able to have a major influence on the politics of a huge star system.

Oh and as for the abandon mission thing...you can just ignore it it will still track your original mission (though does reset the kill count).

Well we have 56 guys hitting one side in an off the trail star system. not one influence point of change.

56 might be hitting it, but how many have stuck at it, i think a more valid picture might be 10-20 are very active and the others might only be doing a small amount of work, or the system is highly bugged and our efforts might need 200 or so to make it work
