Help please. no player respect.

Yeah, sometimes the others get a bit too rambunctious.
Yesterday I went to the Federal Distress Signal in Erenin to get some credits and all went fine. All player were on Erenin side, we nicely defeated the Feds. Then, while waiting for more Feds to arrive I decided to have a go at the capital ship, joining the NPCs that were already shooting at it.
However, not long after another player who was green decided that my poor little Sidewinder looked suspiciously Federal (maybe he thought I was spot welding the damage, considering how little damage I did to the Capital Ship) and decided to take me out.

I must admit, I'm quite fortunate to have experienced precious little grieving. and when I've clearly out flown another player, they tend to try run away, and I usually let them. I gain very little from annoying other players, I want people to enjoy Elite a much as I do.

I feel like i'm playing eve but i'm in the ship. Can someone help me or give me some advice on how to earn credits in a starer ship?

I can't understand all the whine about Eve. Stay in Highsec and be a care bear and you're OK 99% of the time if you don't want the thrill of 0.0!

I don't consider the OP a whine, it seemed an honest request for advice to me. Terms like 'whine' and 'care bear' aren't very constructive. I can see the attraction of the way Eve handles players attacking other players but for me, when I tried it briefly, I felt too far behind the skill curve and decided it wasn't for me. Please don't drag a sensible thread into name calling and entrenched positions that have been done over and over already.

If you see a hollow red triangle, you will get attacked. It's that simple. So be careful when you choose sides and supercruise out if need be. Outside conflict zones it should be a lot less frequent. If neutral or friendlies are attacking you repeatedly that's pretty unlucky. Hopefully there will be more to balance that soon.

So far I have been weary of the MP game. Going sightseeing I've been attacked 4/5 times in the federal distress zone before taking sides.

Combined with some odd bugs in the space station I have died a lot without getting very far. I'm not too bad in the scenarios, incursion I can get to stage 6 fairly regularly despite the beam lasers supposedly being bugged and not dealing full damage.

I just don't like attacking people for no reason. It was one of the attractions of ED. After 6 months of War Thunder arcade battles with the disadvantage of stick and it's wobbly more realistic FM's, no forced PvP seemed like just the ticket.

It would be nice if when chat is integrated into the game more people will act with some decency and challenge players in these more random encounters, especially where it isn't obvious whether one party wants to take part.

The game is quite tough and without being able to save and revert to a previous save. It can be quite punishing when you mix antisocial behavior with bugs.

If things continue the way they are currently, single player is looking more and more appealing.
