Engineers Help: Ranking up with the Empire for Hera Tani

Does anyone have any advise on ranking up with the Empire to unlock Hera Tani?

Right now I have no rank and can't quiet figure what I'm doing wrong

I am allyed with the controlling faction, but I don't think it's ran by the Empire.

I have been invited and Im currently at Kimatra.

I realise now I need to do missions for the Empire, now I am seeing progress increasing

Shame they are the lower paying one's, hence I was not doing them, now I know thou.
