Hardware & Technical Help setting up reverse using HOTAS

Hi fellow commanders, I was wondering how folks are setting up the ability to reverse their ships. With keyboard and mouse you would use the 'S' key, but with a HOTAS setup there doesn't seem to be a way to reverse.

I recently purchased an X52 Pro and love it. I've managed to program all the buttons to carry out most of what I need, but can't seem to do it so I can reverse my ship, something I feel is needed when landing sometimes and overshooting the landing pad, or when entering station letterboxes and a huge ship suddenly looms up in front and you have to get out of the way quick.

Is there a way to program a button to toggle the thruster to do this?

Yes, you can do it. I'm not sure which button is the default, but you can set a button to reverse your throttle. I actually use the slider on my X52 Pro throttle to act as a button for that purpose, setting the "button" to momentary instead of toggle action. (IE: push the slider forward to reverse the throttle, slide it back to re-establish normal flight.)

I think that you will find that under the default settings for the X52 pro reverse is activated with the 'D' button on the throttle.
