Help: Thargoid Sensors

Hey folks,

So I had to take a break from playing. I recently logged back in to find myself in the middle of farming Thargoid Sensors in LTT 1935. I have 6 on board.

My question: What the hell was I farming them for? I seriously cannot remember. I know it wouldn't have been for salvage cash. Is there an engineering or tech broker reason anyone can point me at?

Genuinely stumped. Thanks.

IIRC you need them to get into thargoid surface sites to make grelics, but i also seem to record shooting them gives you fragments that you need for some unlocks.

Alternatively I've heard that you can drop them into a settlement and any NPC that comes close starts shaking until they die.

Shooting a Thargoid Sensor also produces a Sensor Fragment which is used in synthesis to produce premium AX Remote Flak and AX Small Calibre Munitions.
