Help to find the guy who introduced me to Elite?

Hi Commanders. I was wondering if I could get some help from the community. I was introduced to Elite as a youngster back in about 92 by a neighbour of mine. I grew up in rural Devon, England and so having a computer was a big deal, and my parents couldn't afford to get me one so I used to go and pester this neighbour all the time to play computer games. I'd played it on the school BBCs but never really had the time to get into it there. It wasn't until my next-door neighbour gave me a 286 and Elite+ that I really played the game, became Elite etc. He had played original Elite and wanted to pass on the joy. I was enthralled and we also went on to play Frontier & F:FE on his much speedier Epson 386DX40 ;) We both fantasised about Elite 4, when would it come out, but made do with X-Wing and then TIE Fighter, then some flight sims like F117A and TFX. He moved away, I left home and we lost touch.

I am sure the guy is playing Elite: Dangerous and it would be great to meet up. Do any of you have any suggestions how I could find him? I don't want to give out names on here without consent but would be happy to give mine out if maybe it would help? Any suggestions welcome! Thanks guys.

P.S. Gamma is awesome, currently docked at Galileo ;)

TLDR: I want to find the guy who introduced me to Elite as a kid and meet up with him in-game

My friends father used to own a BBC Micro and played Elite with a passion, he got me into the game and i sometimes wonder if he knows about dangerous, i lost contact with said freind and his father would be in his seventies now, but it's always in the back of my mind if he knows about this.. So if you're out there CMDR D Grant, CMDR Pummell salutes you!
