Ship Builds & Load Outs Help tracking down a few parts for my Vulture please!

Weapons, unlike most everything else, don't have "improved" versions. There are only size (class 1 vs class 2 vs class 3) and type (fixed vs gimballed vs turrets) variants.
Fuel tanks and cargo racks are about the only thing I can think of that are the same in that there are no improvements to be had beyond "bigger is better".
Edit: Hull reinforcement, too.

In reference to weapons, C3 means "class 3". The rating isn't even part of the description. Many on the forums will even add the mounting type when discussing them C3F = class 3, fixed.
Other modules, where the rating does actually matter, it generally is placed after the class number: 3B FSD = class 3, B rated FSD.
Don't know if this sort of thing is documented anywhere, I just kind of gleaned it from reading the forum and playing with ed shipyard (and coriolis).

Classifications are as follows:
A = BiS/Best in Slot
B = Armoured
C = Power Saving
D = Weight Saving
E = cheap module
These sites are good for checking stuff before you spend any money/time on switching your loadout/ship and give a nice insight on how the game works.

It refers to quality.
A= Best, has all the bells and whistles and made from the best components.
B= Better than C,D, and E but not as good as A made with cheaper components doesn't preform as well
C= Average quality and performance
D= Bad quality
E= Worst quality.
My problem is I am trying to find C3/G or F meaning C Quality 3 Class (large) Gimbaled or Fixed. But I just looked at edshipyard and I can see that Pulse Lasers don't come in C quality for class 3, which is weird because Beam Lasers do I assumed if Beam Lasers come in 3 Pulse would also.

Been a while now that I have access to Founders World, but back in the day i used to go to XI Ursae majoris and Saktsak and between the two i was able to find everything I needed. Not sure if that's still the case, but if your not far from them it may be worth a try.

The C quality Beams vs D quality Pulses only refers to the fact that Beam Lasers do more damage than Pulse Lasers. You'll note that there are no D quality Beams. Weapons only come in one quality - though which quality depends on the specific weapon.
what everyone else forgot to mention is some weapon levels you can only equip with some weapon types
like a fixed pulse lazer will do abit more damage and you can only put class 2 in one slot for example
on the other end you got class 3 gimballed or whatever you call it beam laser that track but do less damage(on paper) BUT its a class 3 so its bigger and do more damage
and you got class 3 turret(automatic aim) beam laser so in a way it can suck but what im trying to say is sometimes you can not get the best class (3 or 4...forgot if there was a 5) for the weapon you want and it might be class 3 instead of max 4 but its still ok if thats the turret you like to use
