Hi,

So I went to see an engineer, Farseer. When I first open the Engineer Workshop it says I'm level 3.

So I added level 1 to FSD range - but it won't let me add level 2 - says I either need more rep with the engineer or need to have completed all previous modules of the same type.

Is the level 3 thing the same as rep? Otherwise where do I find out what rep I have?

I've now added level 1 to all of the FSD options, but still no level 2 has become available.

What do I do to open level 2? And shouldn't level 3 be there too?

Just in case: Level access and level capability of the engineer are two different things. Grandma Sparkles should be able to engineer an FSD to grade 5, but it might be limited by the access you have.

Also note that you have to do the engineering at the engineer's base to level up with them; engineering a pinned blueprint doesn't improve your standing with the engineer.

Thanks - it was actually that I didn't realise you have to engineer a level multiple times before you can progress to the next. It didn't make that clear, and the wording suggested that I was gambling somehow - it seemed as if it was saying I could do this level again for a different result - not that I needed to engineer this level multiple times to progress from it.

In the end I saw a tiny line under the engineer level which, as far as I could tell, was the only indication that the current level was not complete.
