Help with BD+03 2338 How to participate

Spent an hour flying to Khasiri to get mission from Matteucci Terminal for the conflict ... I did hit "join" for the mission

Flew to BD+03 2338 and not sure where to go, so tried various googles and flew to the third planet, went to both conflict areas but couldn't see any checkpoint so assumed choosing a side meant start shooting. Blew up a number of ships, some I got the last shot on some I didn't. But I didn't get any credit. Looking at the mission it says I have zero credit.

Flew to the second planet as well and couldn't see anything obvious to do .. the low intensity area I couldn't get close too because of the planet .....

How are you supposed to pick a side and get the bonds/credits ?

Wasted couple hours this morning and got nowhere ... definitely not worth the wife faction hit !

If you were fighting in a conflict zone, did you pick a faction on your right hand panel when you got to the conflict zone. I forget the name of the tab, but I think it is the one all the way to the right.

Hmmm, I'm not new to conflict zones, but I flew to BD+03 2338 and, alas, there aren't any. What gives?

EDIT: Nevermind. Didn't realize I had to be within 1000Ls of Conflict Zone.
