Help with confirmed kills?

Hello, i am quite new to elite dangerous and hae only just signed up becuase im having a problem. i dont know if im asking in the right place, but i got a quest of the bulletin board that asked me to get 2 confirmed kills on authority vessels, so i found and killed one but when i checked my transactions it still said "0/2 confirmed kills" am i doing something wrong? help would be much appreciated, thank you in advance

It has to be in the right system.

i did not see that, thanl you very much. after travelling to right system do l just kill them like you normally would?
