Help with CV1 and T16000M and maps....

Ok, I have some time to sit and fix my biggest problem.... Maps

I have a Oculus CV1 and a Thrustmast T16000M joystick and a 19-button mouse...

Ok, first, the System map...
I can zoom in/out using the mouse and use the data panel using the mouse....
BUT: I can't seen to find a way to focus on a planet or moon or star in a reliable way without just using the nav window.

Glactic map is a bit worse...
not only can I not move about in a useful way but I can't seem to find a balance in moving about the galaxy...
So... I would like your suggestions on the best (or your impression of your best joystick/CV1 combo)

It's really making my game play drag

I use the T16000M as the thruster Stick.
On the base I only use the throttle axis for zooming the radar

I would say; navigate in the map as you fly your ship BUT WITHOUT ROLL
Once is the Galaxy map just pith down and everything will be more clear once you have the view of the 2D Plane
