Help with Horizon's config Win 10

So who has Horizons working decently with Win 10? I have Win 10 Pro, I7-4970K, Geforce 980 and have everything running pretty well on ED but getting ready to try Horizons and from what I have been reading there are a myriad of problems everyone seems to be trying to solve. Has anyone had legitimate success getting this running at an acceptable level? Your replies are most appreciated.

I've only got a 970 but otherwise a similar setup and in general it's working great - anything in space looks brilliant, Ultra settings and as smooth as silk. The only problems I'm getting are on the surface near ports.

Thanks that's encouraging I have almost been scared away from purchasing this by reading the posts on here.

I think I've been quite lucky with the stability of my setup but basically I've stayed on the 0.5 SDK (I only use the Rift with ED) and haven't had any issues even with the latest Win10/Nvidia updates. The only unusual setup is to use the tweaked firmware for the Rift to get the IPD correct (I use the VR Gear IPD adapters).

Win10
0.8 SDK

Runs fine for me, and very stable. I run pretty much max (SSO off, no AA, max oculus Qual, Shadows Medium) othertwise it's above 75fps all the way, only the slight drop round space ports on the surface. I could probably tweak a little lower to remove the judder completely round surface ports. It's the best Rift experience bar none.

The real shocker is what it does to the sense of scale. There is no comparison looking at a monitor, when you have rift on, you can appreciate the true sense of scale. Rather than just looking at a crater you can see just how vast and deep it is.

Absolutely - I sat watching a sunrise for about 20 minutes the other day - absolutely incredible stuff to watch. Interestingly I know a few people with DK2s and almost everyone thinks that Elite is currently the best experience in VR. I think cockpit based situations are currently the best VR experience (there's more of a match between what you're doing and the character - as you're sat in a chair using a HOTAS to move) and ED just has some breathtaking views.

Thanks I am excited to try this out just noticed another thread in regards to a new NVidea driver and going to let others try that one this time as I have ED running good on on the 0.5 SDK with win 10 so hoping will not have to do the tons of tweaking everybody keeps trying and can just play.

Just wondering in Horizon's when you are using voice attack did you have to reassign everything or just a few commands? Example Lights on while in your ship does this command also work then when in your SRV?
