Help with Hotas Installation under Windows 11

o7 Fellow Commanders..
Its the first time for me that i post something in a Forum ever so please forgive me if i overlooked something. Anyway lets cut Straight to the Point:

Ive played Elite for a while now, mostly with a Stick and Keyboard. Now i recently switched to a HOTAS and Keyboard (a Thrustmaster Warthog Hotas to be Specific). My problem is, tho i have downloaded all the drivers and installed and deinstalled them to Reinstall, from deleting Controllers entirely to Restarting and even Deleting all the files containing anything that has to do with the Controllers like some people suggested, my problem still remains. My PC detects the controllers with all the right names and properties, but in Windows 11 in the Devices and Printer menu when i look at the two individual controllers under Controller Properties, there are no properties detected at all (normally there should be the whole name listed for the stick or the throttle depending on which one you look at)
I cant excess the Controller Feedback menu to check the Controllers function and resulting of course a Hotas i cant use ingame sadly. I had it to the point that atleast both stick and throttle got installed as the throttle which of course makes no sense but i atleast was able to see that the throttle is fully functional.

Has anyone here any Ideas of what im maybe missing, if windows 11 is just a B**** and it takes many tries etc.

As for maybe incoming Questions:
As previously mentioned my PC runs on Win11, Both controllers are plugged in an USB 3.1 Port and i have the latest Drivers Installed for both the HOTAS, all my PCs Hardware and for Windows 11 itself

Thanks in advance and always Safe Travels fellow Commanders o7

both devices show in devices and printers pending weather you left click or right click the device icon........... different options are shown afaiaa
or i have misunderstood the question🤷‍♂️
the game may be trying to incorporate your old settings try deleting the binding folder(back up first) if you want to bind new controllers as soon as deleted and game restarted a new default binding folder will be generated that will force the game to see any new devices

see this guide for futher bindfile details

this site should help in setting up and provides useable user created warthog bindfiles as demonstrated in below link

I've had no issues like with my Warthog setup, I attach both devices to a USB3 hub with the hub plugged in to a USB2 port on the computer, and then use the TM Target software to assign keystrokes to the buttons.

Its a long time ago, but I think that plugging the hub into a USB3 port caused issues with the controllers, but the above setup provides the power output from a USB3 hub with connection to a USB2 port.

The only issue that I have had is with the secondary round red fire button, which seems to be very temperamental with registering being pressed, but that seems to be an issue with a few Warthogs.

Do you have a powered hub, you can connect them to. Just asking as when I bought a Logitech x56 setup, I did some research and plugging them direclty into the PC can cause issues as a PC USB port does not give enough power for them to be recognised.

I have had no issues with the x56 and using a powered hub, but if you check the forums, a powered hub has solved a lot of issues for people, with devices not being recognised.

I have had the Logitech X56 for some years now and to start I had a lot of problems with ghosting. Tried all the recommended solutions even sending it back and receiving a replacement from Logitech. In the end the solution was given in a post here by another technologically adept member. They said that due to stuff that I cannot recall now the solution to getting the X56 to operate properly on Windows was to connect the throttle and joystick to a powered usb3 or 3.1 adapter but the adapter must be plugged into a usb2.0 port on the PC. Since doing that simple thing I have never had another problem using my X56 going on 3yrs now. Maybe someone here remembers that X56 solution and explanation?.
