Help With - Liberate X Occupied Escape Pod

Hi there.
I play the game for few days now, and have this mission.
So first I came to system scan nav beacon, then found the planet, flew to search zone, it changes few times, and finally changed to - "supply cache".
What should I do now? I landed on the ground but nothing happen, there is no escape pods, I can see just a sand, nothing more.
I appreciate your help.

Interesting thread title you got there.... Report the post (left side bottom edge) and ask a mod to change the title, if you can't do it yourself.

As for your problem: if you can't see anything from the air, you'll have to get into your SRV and start looking around. Look for scanner sigatures in the upper part of the screen, those are artificial signals. There may (ok, will) even be a special signature for escape pods, but I never bothered to go that far - I'm glad when I can distinguish metallic meteorites from outcrops.

Presumably the mission is to retrieve a certain number of escape pods?

If so get in your SRV and drive around for some time, you'll come across some eventually.

Thanks for your help.
I do not have Surface Recon Vehicles yet, I didn't know I will need one for this mission, as I received it spontaneously. I just bought cobra mk3 and start to fly around.
I think, I'm not so experienced yes to finish this quest.

PS. Let's leave title behind, It happen when you use PC for work to play games
