[Help with rep] The dawn of the bounty hunter

Okay so I made a post called Bounty Hunting = bad ? after becoming hostile to the federation because of my bounty hunting. Link of that post : https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=100619

I am now in deep trouble, the fun of the game is slowly dying for me. Each time I enter a system/a nav beacon/a RES area I get assaulted by feds, not security, normal everyday feds, and when I want to assault them in return I get fined because they have the clean state. And it always end up like this : Entering destination - Searching for bounty that I can actually claim without trouble - getting attacked by 3 ships at a time - fsd out - repair - repeat.

I learned thanks to a fellow CMDR that even if the ship that you target is wanted, that the bounty is placed by his faction, you'll still loose rep for killing him.

So I can't take any pirate killing missions because the pirates are of the same faction, I can't go in nav beacon zone and can't go in RES.

So the only thing that is left is roaming in hope to enter a unknown radio thingy and have the chance to find a pirate or get interdicted by one.

What solutions do I have ?

And please don't tell me Anarchy systems because federations ships are still there, they are everywhere I go and it's tedious to find a system with no feds to find out there is nothing in said system.

The only thing I see is to re-gain rep with the feds, but how ? I can't enter many of there station and most of the time I have no missions available.

Bizarre. I'm quite sure I gained reputation for killing wanted recently.

I think you can do two things: -

- head for the nearest border, and hunt in Empire/Alliance territory
- try to do missions for the Federation affiliated factions that often are present in border systems. Federal Navy is less likely to patrol an Empire system...

Trading with Federation outposts should help, but it's slow.

You can take pirate killing missions in lawless systems (I blasted away to my heart's content and never received negative rep from killing a faction's ships).

I'm not sure you lose as much rep as you used to, just spent an hour killing pirates mostly of one faction, got a red arrow, but it did not take me out of my newly acquired friendly status.

Try to get as many Federation bounties as you can get, then find a small Federation outpost (not in a Federation controlled system) that has low security and cash the bounties in. This should slowly build up your rep.

Also trading with the outpost helps greatly. Build up their wealth by buying commodities if they have a market.

My previous advice was good. But some anarchy systems have authorities. Avoid the high population anarchies and look for very low population ones.

A perfect example is Quator. No feds and it's within a couple jumps of alliance, federation and empire systems - the empire system is Codorain.

This lets you easily hand in your kws bounties.

Good luck.

Near Founders World, there are anarchy systems "Tvasuki" and "Bunus". There are not many federation ships there. Try this.
