LostWinds Help with this movment (Possible spoilers)

First of all, this game is a quality design and I thank the developers for a great game.

The problem i have is I am stuck at this point and i can't get the stone to break the gate, I just can't get the wind strong enough to make the stone move fast and smash the gate,

Please help me with this, is their a special movement for this. ????

You can't smash barriers until you have the vortex power, when you have this power, gust the stone into the air, then draw a vortex around the rock (or other object). If the vortex has captured the rock then it will start to spin in mid air, when this happens gust the rock as hard as possible (the faster you move the wind cursor, the harder the gust) and it should then smash the barrier.

I've changed the title as this advice may be a possible spoiler for people who have only just started the game.

OK, I got the vortex power which is the B button... I WILL give it a try.

can't get the vortex to make the stone start to spin in mid air. this is hard.

You need to hold the A button and draw a circle to create a vortex.
