Help!

I just logged on to find that half of my modules were turned off including life support and that I only had about 3 minutes of oxygen left. Couldn't seem to turn anything back on. Logged off (had to wait 15 seconds because I was apparently in danger!) and back on again and now it said only 90 seconds of oxygen. Tried turning off thrusters and power usage was down to 48% so that's not an issue. Fuel tanks are full. Another 15 seconds lost waiting to log off.

Looks like next time I try logging on I'll have only a few seconds to rescue things. Anyone got any suggestions to try?

Sounds like a good time to submit a support ticket.

You could try a systems reboot, but if you run out of time it could be back to the re-buy screen time.

I'll log on and test the reboot time.

When I last logged off, life support was about 70% (I hadn't repaired it because I didn't want to use up the emergency oxygen....) most others were in the high 90s.

Oh man, I bet you're a million miles from nowhere too. No idea whats happening.. silent running on maybe?
Possible. Does silent running turn modules off? (I've never used it so no idea)

It could be a false setting in the priorities of the modules for the power plant.
It would help to find any potential error if you could send your Coriolis Shipbuild...

Looks like frontier support are your only option. That all seems far too buggy to be a legit incident, and relogging doesn't seem to work. You also wont have enough time left to fix anything. Where did you log off before it happened?

Sorry - All my stuff is currently 100% so the reboot function won't work for me.

I'm pretty sure that with 90 sec left you would be really close and likely out of time or close to it if you try that route.

I think support may be your only hope at this point.

Most notably it turns shields off and you would see a noticeable heat build up.

We saw ObsidianAnt die to silent running once, it's just non-stop heat damage. No possessed modules. Certainly not silent running.

Shipbuld: http://coriolis.io/outfit/viper_mk_...4yVEg===.Aw1sIzkA?bn=Viper Mk4 - Nutter Alert (not that this accurately reflects any module priorities - and everything was A-OK when I last logged out)

Not in the SRV, just normal space. Didn't notice any heat related issues or warnings.

Contacting support feels like failure to me. We're explorers, deliberately putting ourselves many thousands of LYs from safety. Things go wrong and it's up to us to recover from them, not expect some god like power to protect us. I'll wait until tomorrow morning before trying to log on again, but if nothing anyone suggest can help and Allitnil ends up dying then he'll be consigned to one of the countless escape pods that litter the galaxy...

Edit: I'm currently about 300 LY from WP 21 on DWE

If you were killed by a god-like power (game bug) there is no shame in being saved or restored by one. Bug deaths are not legit and should be compensated.

Re-reading, it seems likely that the damage to Life Support is the most likely cause of the problem. In that you were already losing time when you logged in, you may in fact already have "expired" even though you're logged off.

Trying to repair LS may work if you have enough time left, but then you still have the problem of almost non spare Oxygen left and would need to get back to a port to replenish.

Other than that, it's probably the support staff that's your only hope.

Good Luck - keep us posted.

I doubt it is to be honest,You would be badly overheating and it would say 'silent running' where you see 'wanted' and 'speeding' etc.

Both of which I'm pretty sure you are experienced enough to have noticed. :)

Still no other ideas though, sorry.

Looking at that build all your modules should be powered as long as hardpoints are retracted.. seems iffy to me.

Edit: If you are quick you may be able to perform a partial repair of the life support.. if that is what is causing the problem (?)

Good luck..
