Greetings,

Visited Hera yesterday to have some power plants converted and apply some specials to others. While I was waiting for the plants to arrive I decided I may need another 3A plant so bought one, not spotting that I was giving up my current plant in part exchange. So I proceeded to engineer it and then went to put the old one back in the ship and it was then I noticed there was no 'transfer' option but the 'buy sold items' option.

Waited til the plants arrived and hoped the option to buy back would still be there, so plants arrive and the option vanishes along with my engineered power plant.

Anyone else had this happen?

Is your storage full....that’s the o Ly time this occurs for me. It’s anywhere not just at engineers.

No storage is not full... 69 items in storage, at the time stored some more since then...

My issue was not the same.. I did not store the old power plant, never had the option, as it was a part exchange type deal.

What do you mean?
If you exchange it you are selling it.
If you see the buy back sold items that's your clue.
Don't leave the station if you want it back.

I think there is a timer too.

I mean I never noticed I was selling the old power plant, and there was no option available to store it.

The problem was, like I said in OP, I did not realise I was part exhanging the old plant and when I tried to store the new one there was no storage option available. The storage option only became available when the plants I was transferring arrived.

Ok sorry about that, I understand now.
Were you able to buy it back?
Is it working now?

If not, you can try to raise a support ticket.
They've been pretty cool about restoring modules and even ships for people in the past.

That said, engineering rates are pretty good now.
Might be better just to move on.

Sounds related to the storage bugs I mentioned earlier.
As you can see on that link it is an ongoing thing.
You can see from other bug threads that resurfacing in a new, slightly different form is pretty common.

I was able to buy my original plant back but lost the one I just bought and upgraded (couldn't store it etc)... such is life huh!?

I am not bothered about the module, it was only a 3A Power Plant, and they are cheap enough in Jameson instead of buying one at Hera's place.

I just found it strange it never stored the module, and I never noticed as I was in a hurry (food nearly done), it was only when I went to store the 3A plant I noticed there was no storage option and just the options to browse store or buy it back.

Was just curious if anyone else had come across this rather weird scenario.
