So here i was, high up in the galaxy, on the edge of the core, scanning all Herbig Ae/Be stars i could find...
Of course, of all the many hundred i could visit, i managed for the first time in my exploration career, to visit just that one out of a million deathtrap.
When i entered the system, i started scanning the Herbig, and opened system map, but when i checked my navigation panel i saw the horror...
OH SWEET ONIONHEAD THATS A CLASS A!
I was scared, my ship had yet not suffered damage, but this situation was dangerous, i had to act fast!
Of course due to my slow computer, the system map took seconds to load!
Imminently after getting access to the system map i pressed exit, and jumped out of supercruise.
Fast i disabled all modules (except life support) and dropped a heat sink, max temperature was 146%!
That son of a gas.
Now it was to get out, i checked the galaxy map, and found the closest non-binary star to jump to.
Then i turned off everything except thrusters, FSD and a last heatsink.
Patiently i throttled up my anaconda to maximum speed, disabled flight assist, and waited for the ship to cool down from my engine thrusts.
Then it was time! I charged my FSD, temperatures where rising, i popped the heatsink, but it was almost not enough!
I finish the jump sequence at 96% heat!
Finally i saw my savior, an average class K star.
I checked closely for other stars (although galaxy map said there were none, my scans too) before entering system map, sweaty and pumped over my little play with death.
6300 systems and this is the first time I've encountered this, but it probably won't be the last..
Fly safe commanders!
(Oh and by the way, the system name is EUMORKS HG-Y F1097)
