Just had my merits busted from 1500 to 292. Anyone else had this happen? Hello, paying customer. Beginning to turn into an utter joke.

Sounds like you're level 4. Your merits will decay every week. I lost over 5000 this last week and expect to lose 6000 next week. It's just part of the game.

You can make up the merits in an hour or so. No biggie, right?

Thought it decayed by 50%. If not it really is for grinders (no offence). Why bother, can make that much in one bounty hunting run.

There's a formula. The older merits decay at a faster rate. The ones you got last cycle decay slower, at 50%.

If you're just in it for the bonus credits, I'd say you're in it for the wrong reason. There's the comradere and feeling that you're making a difference. At level 4, you only get 5 mil a week. Nowhere near enough to justify the time and effort. At level 5, you get 50 mil a week. Still not enough if it's just about the weekly bonus.

That being said, it's not for " grinders". It's a game. If you're not having fun, why are you playing?

It lets you calculate the merits you need and how much carries over. And helps figure out what you need to do to maintain a desired rating level.

Consider (with BIG approximation) that if you maintain a costant merits/week, you need around 50% of the rank amount every week (VERY approximate, just an order of magnitude).

For example, if you grind for rank 5 (10.000 merits) once you attain it, you need approx 5000 merits/week to maintain it.

If you do it for the reward, it is not worth the effort. If you do it for PP or for bonuses it is better :)
