I thought about posting this in the Newcomers area for educational purposes, but it would have violated their guidelines as it does not ask a question.
Background: Due to a lack of funds, I had to accept a bounty contract to get money to buy items to complete another high paying job. If successful, after all was said and done, I would have cleared 50,000+ credits plus the $$$ for the bounties. I completed the bounty and this, combined with what turned out to be overconfidence, motivated me to bite off more than I could chew. The unexpected outcome was caught on video and I thought I'd share it.
I'm in a Sidewinder that has a few modest upgrades, but nothing spectacular. I'm not looking for a critique as I know what I did wrong. I should have balanced engine - shields - weapons better but (embarrassing to admit) when things began to come apart I couldn't remember what keys I'd assigned them to.
When this vid was recorded I'd been playing a total of two days. Even a week of experience makes a world of difference.
