Here's what I could do if I could trade modules I craft and credits between players.

I could set up my own little business, especially with those new carriers coming out next year.

I could use this little business to supply players that are more interested in combat than I am. (This would also be a great opportunity to meet other players in-game.)

I could use the profits the business creates to pay for security to cover me against the pie rats said business would inevitably attract.

You see what I'm getting at here? All this can happen just by giving players the ability to trade the stuff they craft to other players for money. I mean, this is an ability Freelancer players have. Why not us?

Economic RP is a massive content creation driver. One person running a little business can hire gatherers, crafters, sales and security, all while attracting the players that want to trade as well as the players who, God love 'em, just wanna rob people.

But first I need this simple ability, one that the NPCs themselves have. I get paid instantly for jobs I do for them. Why not for the players?

Good idea in principle. Could you eleborate on ways you'd implement it? Pros AND Cons I mean.

I'd like the ability to create my own contracts for other players to take up. It would be amazing to say the least. Unfortunately, it would also require an immense amount of work and balancing to prevent exploitation.

Your friend just got Elite? Give him a 5mill Cr contract to fetch 2T of Bromellite.

Someone just ate a 32mill Rebuy and is back in his Sidey? Here's a 40mill Contract to transport me to that station 100ls away.

You get the idea. Just flesh it out and fire it off to the suggestions board. Who knows? Squadrons might just be the perfect foundation on which to build up the idea. :D
