Hey, ED, you owe me a new graphics card

My graphics card died a while back, 12 months and 3 minutes after I purchased it.

After muttering a few oaths and doing a bit of reading, I opted for a GeForce GTX 770.

With hindsight I've never been so please to have a graphic card die... the 770 is lovely, and has added another year's life to my (now) quite elderly Q6600.

Clouds with silver linings, and so on!

Yep - Tin of compressed air + wee brush every 6 months.

Unless you smoke in the room, then every 3 months remove heatsink and clean properly
(I no longer smoke at all )
