hey everyone. I made a video about getting the cutter fast and getting empire rank quickly. I hope this helps some of you.

... and if you don't wish to watch a video: Here is a written guide from reddit which claims 6 & 8 hours for Fed & imp rank:

As is obvious, the same old places with the same old grind...
For the Fed ranks, I wound up going with the Sothis-Ceos loop. That Yamiks guy was pushing the Exphiay-Canopus loop, but Rangarajan's distance (42,000+ Ls) made that option completely unpalatable for me.

I suppose I'll grind for the Cutter eventually, but I'm still recovering from the Fed grind, so I think that is going to wait a bit more.

I got all of my Fed Ranks working out from my bubble base system (6 Fed factions) and Imp from another cluster of imp systems. It did take a few months each, granted ;)

After all these years, I still haven't fully ranked up with the Feds. Getting a Corvette isn't really enough incentive for me. I have a Cutter but that's because I tend to hang out in Imperial systems. All hail the Empress!

But I think that's the glaring issue with Superpower ranks, aside from unlocking a handful of ships, they're ultimately pointless. I feel that aligning yourself with a Superpower should have meaningful consequences like it did in the earlier games (if I remember rightly).
