Hey Frontier! Regarding the Cobra Mk III

I'm a Cobra Fanatic. I own more paintjobs for the Cobra MK III than any other ship in my fleet. I own the cobra bobleheads including the Jameson Cobra.

I was wondering if you guys could release a version of the Blue Jameson Cobra Paint for the Cobra MK III? Perhaps make a in game event for it etc?

Maybe even release a version of the classic cobra?

I just love the ship. It's elite's most versatile workhorse imo.

The stock cobra paint is close. But not quite the same

Nice idea, but just wait for the flames. I once suggested that older model cobras like jameson's be purchasable and flyable in game for game variety etc only for a mob of white knights to collectively stamp on my nuts.

Why were they White Knights? Was it solely because they disagreed with your? For all you know they could be doom and gloomers, or forum undead, or (wait for it) just someone who doesn't have the same opinion as you.

Wow, a mention of WK's in the 2nd post.. That was quick. Given that, there's not much point in responding to the OP, I'll just get labelled a WK whether I agree or not.

The Cobra Mk III is fantastic. And I'd love to see the addition of a vintage Cowell and MgRath Cobra Mk III , too.

I think people worked out the Jameson Cobra MK III has only one class 3 Hardpoint. Even if the rest if the ship's performance matches the existing MK3, I don't think I'd want that.

I think the OP is just asking for a paint that matches that model, not an entire new Cobra ship variant. I can't imagine anyone would object to that. Although given FDev's track record regarding requests for paintjobs based on in-game assets (search and rescue Anaconda...), I wouldn't hold my breath.

Technically it would have one C3 on the front, left, right and rear view.

And don't forget the missile launcher.

Now that would be be an interesting ship to fly. All the hardpoints would have to be fixed only. I think they missed a trick by allowing some of the smaller ships having access to gimbled weapons

Wait one, are you saying that the original Cobra had FOUR (4) large hardpoints and at minimum an additional small hardpoint for the missile launcher! Kind of happy that beast isn't in the game lol

But they were all fixed. Only the forward and rear weapons have any chance of hitting with.

I remember I used to turn my joystick around 180 degrees when using the rear laser back on the BBC-B.

I used all 4 weapons fighting thargoids. I got so good with them I would sometimes empty the front and nail a ship flying by on the left or right.

The left and right sights were very useful to get a missile lock on a ship that was passing by and was still of unknown intention. If it got behind and started causing aggro, it could be dispatched easily with a single press of the "launch missile" button if I was feeling lazy

Here is a tip, when making suggestions, don't go like: FDEV you incompetent bunch of crétins, either you add Jameson's Cobra or me and Bazmeson will leave your doomed crap game.

Thanks for the hostility guys, you are all so sweet. You kind of prove my point, leaping to conclusions, trying to put words into my mouth and then jumping in with the ad hominins and character assassination just because I dared even mention white knights stamping on my nuts in the past. You should all be ashamed.
