1 standard scan gives you local bounty warrants. kill warrant scanner gives you non local bounties as well.
2 G180 something .. close to opala or ovid
3 dumbfire missiles

edit to add look for high pop industrial systems for parts.

Assign it to a fire group (I usually have it bound to alt-fire), get within range of a target ship and hold the button down until the scan reads "complete."

Your best bet when searching for new equipment is to look in High Tech and Industrial systems.

3. Could use some tips for defeating an Anaconda in my Viper

Get behind it, stay behind it, hope it doesn't have too many turrets.
Also invest in a shield cell bank.

Taking the shields down is usually easy enough, but then you end up whittling away at the hull for ages!

Yea G180-18 has some nice modules, also Asellus Primus, Aulin, Styx and if you want some of the rarest and most expensive then Yanyan which is near Asellus Primus is a great station to upgrade. The shop changes inventory when the hour changes to the next hour and the best time to buy upgrades is in the early morning (earth time) because any other player at that station at that time can buy them from the outfitters and take them off the list until they possibly become available the next hour chap.
I am finding B5 and A4 modules for my Asp very easily at Yanyan, at a reasonable 1.7 million to 5 million, obviously the modules will be cheaper for smaller ships there than what my Asp modules cost chap.

When fighting it can be useful to target a subsystem, like the shields or the power. You can do this in the menu to the lefthand side (press 1) and then use E to tab along to sub systems.

1. just scan the target and you will see the bounties (if any) on it from all systems instead of just local (where they might be clean)
2. Search around. It is random. Better chance at high tech or high pop industry worlds.
3. Stay behind it when possible, and target the power plant. Get that dead and watch that 70% hull explode instantly and laugh manically about it.
