Engineers [HGE Farming] New FSS System

Note : This is not a guide on finding HGEs or finding the right HGEs. There are guides and spreadsheets everywhere on the net

(also, thanks to all who posted about this,or similar, on the other forums)
Once you find one of these rare HGEs, go to it, pick up all the goodies then :
1) Log to MENU
2) Log back in
3) Start SC FSD
4) IMPORTANT BIT : Once countdown timer starts, Throttle to ZERO
5) If you did 4 correctly you will be less than 100 km from a USS(not 100 Ls)
6) Target the USS(in nav panel)
7) Turn 180 degrees ( USS/HGE will be behind you)
8) Go to USS/HGE, farm
9) If HGE timer hasn't ran out, go to Step 1

If you don't find any HGEs, log out to menu and in for new USS inside the FSS.
I have suspicions about the above statement. I think when I logged and re-scanned and found an HGE, it was added to the other signals and wasn't a whole new set of USS signals.

Can FD change(fix) this ? Don't know, but if they did , they need to seed more HGEs, as I am finding less than before patch(unless servers are only just now slowly settling down? )

This is a known exploit, and FD will fix it, unfortunately...

during this time , we are still waiting about a fix about mass lock problem who's killing pvp since Q4 release. And an answer from FD about this.

This is a known exploit, and FD will fix it, unfortunately...

4 hours of searching and I found 3 HGE !!!
If they fix this exploit then they should rethink the HGE frequency first.
As funny as it seems, this exploit makes HGEs look as good as pre 3.3 only .

Confirmed.

Was looking for Proto Light and Proto Radiolitics.
Jumped into "ISTANU" which is currently showing a Boom state for the Controlling Faction.
Stopped at the Nav Beacon to reveal all the USSes.
Only 2 revealed. (Low Pop I guess?)
Was considering next jump when I got a "New Signal Source Detected" blip.
Was a HGE for the controlling Faction, and a timer of 38mins.
Jumped in and out and mode switched repeatedly, using 2 Collector limpets to grab the mats. (3-6 Proto or Radiolitics each drop)

Total in 38 mins:
Proto Light: 90 (30 collects)
Proto Radiolitic: 81 (27 collects)

Not too shabby.

Wow! That's an insanely low rate. You must've been very unlucky. I just yesterday, due to people complaining about the low rates, went out and scanned a few systems. Over the run of four systems, i found 7 HGEs. (And like 10 Encoded Emissions in one of them. )

So no, it's not like in the beta any more, where you could enter a system and find over 10 HGEs. But that was over the top. The new numbers of HGEs seem fine to me. The bigger problem i see are system states. With the new BGS rework there's some things we don't know yet. The beta was not long enough for the BGS there to get into full swing again, so we were not able to get any real conclusions from there.

What we do know is that HGEs by now display which faction they are connected to, by which state they are triggered and how much time you have to get there. But we can't tell how often we will see some of the more rare states and how many HGEs will be created in systems which have several states and how they are distributed over those states.

We currently have to wait and see, till the BGS is back to full swing and the whole scope of states can be found again. On the positive: I expect people to have more time the next week and thus bring more chaos into the system. That should result in more states happening.
