HGE-USS seem entirely random now and very rare . . .

...while you can keep resetting that correct instance you managed to find.
Let's hope they don't deem that an exploit and fix it.

I wouldn't hold your breath.

Quite frankly it would be quite disgusting if they were to fix this before they fix the material spawn mess we have right now. Good change they will do so anyway and do nothing else, so we'll have to wait for more favorable faction states. What a mess...

Its not rocket science, just make one HGE spawn for every system faction in specific state. If there is outbreak and war,two should spawn.

Exactly. Never mind what's in the HGE, you've got to get them to spawn first.
Compared to how it worked previously, this is much worse. Sure, you can relog blah blah blah... C'mon, it's worse.
Wait, if you drop into an HGE, collect the mats, and then relog, the mats will reappear?
o_O

Sssoo.. Just sitting in an outbreak system, near a star, with 10 USS around me waiting for the next spawn to be called “high grade emissions”. Am I doing it right, crowd?

I know this isn't the best solution to the problem, but it's the only one I've been able to find. It involves material trading.

If you're familiar with the Robigo/Sothis run, this will be a lot easier for you. When I got missions from Robigo I noticed that there were a lot of missions to Sothis with rewards for Exquisite Focus Crystals and other G5 mats. So I experimented and was able to get missions for as many as 15 EFC's. As for myself, I was looking for Military Super Capacitors. So, I went to Velinski Enterprise in the Sothis system, and 15 EFC's equaled 3 MSC's. Not a great trade, but at least I found some, where I couldn't find a single one in an HGE (or rather, I couldn't find any HGE's period), and was able to finish engineering my Power Distributor.

The good news is that running from Robigo Mines, to Sothis A 5, back to Robigo, and then to Velinski takes only about 15 minutes. So, it's better than nothing. If you don't do the Robigo/Sothis run or know how to do it, here's the best video I can provide:

A long process for sure, but IMO, a difficult something is better than an certain nothing. At least until they fix he HGE spawn system.

I actually reported this as a bug as it is clearly an unintended side effect of the new persistent USS + multiple state changes. If your only option is to trade for certain G5 mats then something is wrong.

It should be left as it is. Having to spend weeks to find just 100 of a specific mat like Proto Ravioli is unacceptable.
