I don't recall this feature ever being announced as probably being implemented. I do recall not wanting to implement such a feature at all and if forced to would hobble so many conditionals and exceptions to it's use to make it in line with how other people head track (be it with a controller or otherwise) that it might not be worth the trouble.
Okay, at the risk of sounding dumb ... What is a padlock feature?
Padlocking in flight Sims locks your view to the target and automatically follows it.
With the game being very VR-centric, I doubt this will ever be added.
