Newcomer / Intro Hi! Help with picking up salvage....

Evening! I stop to collect some stuff floating around in space. After the first one is in the cargo hold, I cannot target a second item to pick it up. Little help please?

Are you sure the other floating items are actual containers? If so, then you should be able to target them (I use 'T' when they are in front of me). There can be bits of destructed ship etc. floating about, but they are for show.

On your left hand panel check the Contacts tab. All floating and scoopable cargo containers are listed there and can be locked on from this menu. Other objects in space are usualy eyecandy (e.g. debris).

Thanks for the advice. They were containers, but my 't' button wouldn't lock on to the others after scooping the first. I have, however, used the contacts list to lock on to them. Thanks.

You may also want to check that the canisters don't show up as STOLEN as this could impact your game, severely.

You're not kidding me! lol. A whole nights playing wiped out by not paying attention to stolen stuff and fines. It's all coming together now though.
